Cinderella part six

Sorry Malin, but this is a very short one (I'm giving you paragraphs, so I take them as they are). Fortunately for me, because I'm Tired as Hell:P

The very next day, a proclamation went out that the prince wished to marry the girl who had lost her glass slipper. The prince and a company of high noblemen would visit every noblewoman who had attended the ball in the next few days, and let the girls try out the glass slipper. Cinderella's stepsisters were very excited when this reached them, because they had barely seen the prince at the ball, and now he was visiting them in their home! The proclamation reached Cinderella too. She was still confined to her room, while her stepmother was making arrangements for her future as a maid in a nearby inn. Cinderella pleaded to her stepmother to see the prince.

"I do not wish you around such important guests." Her stepmother dismissed her plea. "As you were not at the ball, I see no reason why you should come down and add to the confusion."

  "Please!"

  "I said no."
The lady left the room, taking a tray of food with her. Cinderella gave up for the moment, but she was still determined to see and talk to the prince. She could not let this chance to be a princess and queen escape her. Fortunately, her window was facing the gate, and an oak was conveniently growing beside the window sill - an arrangement she had often used to sneak out when confined to her room. Contacting the prince would be no problem.

A short filler... what will happen next? Will everything go as Cinderella planned? Read and find out...

Until next time, people then...
