Ah well. Haven't happened much, as usual. Bit rainy, but it has cleared. Got a haircut a couple of days ago, but nothing special.

Is tired as hell now. I've been working the whole day and is tiiiiiiiired. Haven't had much sleep from what it feels. At least it is my day off tomorrow, but I've college so I can't stay in the bed the whole day even if I wanted to. Ah well.

Been working on the Fog story today and yesterday, but not much I have to admit. Made a plan of action yesterday and outlined the world in which they live, and today I begun on Robin's character study. Will do more tomorrow. But not today. Way too tired.

Of some reason, almost all in the house are more or less ill. Except me, for once. And there are rumors about a pandemic called the swine flu... can anyone tell me about it?

Tomorrow, college and day off. At least I've a morning for myself.

Good night.

Sara

Huh?

Haven't happened much since I was here a couple (well, more) of days ago. I am REALLY tired as hell today, and yesterday even more so. But could I sleep yesterday evening? NO! I went to bed 21.15 and lay awake for HOURS. Not fun. And this morning, I woke up before six. Well, I went to sleep again but now I'm sitting here, bleary eyed, dry mouthed and cotton headed. Well, at least it is my day off.

Hehe, the girlfriend (not MY girlfriend, Anna, my employer's) showed me a clip from that Swedish talent show, with four naked guys. Their dance was quite fun:P.

Wrote om my constructed language yesterday, nouns and numbers. Can count up to one million or so:P. Will probably write more today.

College's fine, we did a test on speaking on listening exam, it went quite good. But I dread the speaking part, the speech. I'm not good at coming up with a speech on the spot. Wish me luck in July, when we have our exams.

There's a food aroma in the air, it will be jacked potatoes in a few moments I think.

I predicted the weather correct the other day. Now, it's cloudy.

Well, see you soon.

Not TVtropes but no access to internet

And some other excuses. Soooooooorry.

Ingela, I've read Eclipse:P I know it is the third Twilight book, but it was the only one I (yeah, well, the girlfriend) could get from the library.

What I thought about it? Well, it wasn't so bad I had anticipated, the prose was easy to read but held no memorable descriptions or style, the plot was OK but not great, but the characters... well, if someone asked me to describe Bella, I probably couldn't. And why does she prefer Edward instead of Jacob? My own preference to werewolves aside, I felt that Bella had funnier with Jacob, and that he respected her more. At least they could talk with some equal footing instead of Edward's overprotective manner. Sure, some bits with Jacob's behaviour wasn't nice but I still liked him better than Edward. And I didn't learn to know any of them. They had no individual voices.

Overall, it was a somewhat good book, but it held no magic over me. It took me three days to read it, excluding yesterday when I didn't read at all. Compare that to Temeraire or Harry Potter, or even Eddings earlier books, which hold me the whole day. It is not a good way to measure a book, I know (I think I read all Eddings' Dreamer books in one day, but I have to admit that Eclipse was better than them. Well, all books are better than those), but at least it gives a good indication if it's a memorable book for me.

Haven't been up to much, been at college yesterday and then went out shopping. Bought, among other things, that dress I've mentioned, a white skirt, brown linen trousers and a grey night dress. Haven't written on the Fog yet, will wait around a week before I start revising it. But I've written on the magic system for my Fairy Tales and have come up with a few interesting ideas.

Tired as hell, worked the late shift today, but did I spend the morning sleeping? Nope. Made spaghetti bolognese today for lunch, the kids liked it or so they said, and then pancakes for supper. The boy got some magnetic connectors which I've played with today. They're like LEGO:P How long was it since I played with LEGO? A loooooong time ago.

It is also very hot and summerish outside, it's difficult to believe it's April! The lilacs (syrenbuskar) is blossoming and I went out with a thin shortsleeved shirt and an even thinner pair of white trousers which leave the legs bare from the knees. Really nice, but I think I burnt myself on the sun:(. And I didn't even sun bathed! Hate to sun bath. It's far too hot.

Well, as I'm tired, I really should go to bed. I can't come up with anything more to write. So good night, see you soon!

Hugs

Deep satisfaction

Excuse my absence from my blog. It was because I've been busy with my Fog story (and because I got lost on TVtropes, sorry). But now I can at least tell you that, today, I've finished the first draft of The Fog. Yes, I'm FINISHED!!! Page count were 306 pages, but I have to see how it will evolve in the other drafts. Have some visions on a trilogy, and I left some stuff to do in the epilogue... well, we'll see.

But now I'll have a couple of days of resting from it, then I'll bring the heavy axe and butcher it a bit, the heavy artillery for shooting it down and then the feather duster for scooping up the pieces and bring it together again.

Ooooops - almost lost myself on TVtropes again... while writing this.

The kids has been away for almost the whole week, with occational returns, for today for example, over fish and chips. They will return on Sunday, but it doesn't mean I haven't worked. But I'll have a long sleep tomorrow, I've been up to eleven the latest days. Tired.

College on Monday, and I'll shop some new clothes too. It's getting hot and I've only winter clothes almost. Saw a nice dress on New Look...

Hehe, see you. I'll go and get lost on tvtropes now. Call rescue if I'm absent for more times, you can find me there.

Good night!

Happy Easter!

Have eaten a big easter dinner, containing turkey, salmon (which I didn't eat, because I would have exploded), roast potatoes, roast vegetables and afters (ice cream, a platter with pastries and raspberry pavlova). As I said, I'm stuffed like a turkey now.

One of the downsides being an au pair is disagreeing with how to treat the kids. Even if you don't like the way the parents treats the kids, you can't really complain because they are the parents. Most cultures have harder ideals for the behaviour of children, and where I woulde be lenient, other cultures would be hard.

I have learnt that I treat kids much the same way my mum treated me and my sisters, but slightly less stern. I'm just funnier:P No, but mum had a hard time when we grew up, so she wasn't so happy from time to time. But when I've been here, I feel I appreciate her more and more. Luv u, Mum!

Sitting here and write and eat easter egg (of chocolate. Loves chocolate). Anna, stop complaining about TVtropes, because I got a very good writing idea from it.

Fog story WILL be finished next week, I've decided - I'm at the very last part. In the beginning, but at the last part nevertheless. Puh! I wonder if it will exceed 300 pages - I'm at page 279 at the moment. Then I need to polish and rewrite it a bit. Luckily I have some clues of what I need to improve and correct.

Well, have a very happy Easter, and a nice spring. Here is there blossoms everywhere:P

Sara

Here again

Nothing interesting have happened. Good bye.

No, but I've finally recovered from my cold, I've been nostagic with the kids and the girlfriend and watched Sailor Moon on youtube, have seen Walking with Dinosaurs and have eaten bread and butter pudding.

Hehe, it was ages ago I saw Sailor Moon. Seriously, she's quite a crybaby. I like the children's version of Tokyo Mew Mew better (Mew Mew Power). I'll look it up at TVtropes - or maybe I can resist...

Watching WwD again was quite interesting, it was ages I did it, but it irritated me to no end that so much was cut. Some things I did not rememer were cut, but I missed those bits nevertheless, and other I remembered and actually wanted to see (OK, Ornithocheirus' lices. Fun).

Bread and butter pudding was quite ok, although I prefer apple pie. Miss Paskmust, too - Happy Easter, btw.

I blame any faults in my writing on my tiredness. Good night!

Sara

PS. This weekend will be dedicated to writing the Fog story. Hopefully, I can finish before the end of vacation (from college, Sandra). Wish me luck.

Excuse me

The first thing I will do in my dear capital, is to buy an own laptop. I'm hard about that. Really determined. This laptop disappeared for a few days, so I was cut off the the internet. My excuses. I'm pretty sure it will happen again.

Well, I'm still sick, sneezing all over the place and tired because I don't sleep properly. My throat does not exactly hurt, but it has a rasping quality, that orginates from lack of beverage the day before. And the damned bogie:(. Well, hopefully. I'm fine in a couple of days.

Technically, I'm working right now, but the girl is out biking (with company) and food is already done, so I have pieces of free time yet. And I'm hungry.

The boy have had birthday too, so there have been more cakes. I gave him a couple of books. The weather is quite nice, bit too windy and with occational clouds, but otherwise nice and hot.

Fortunately, the Fog story is going forward again. Have written several pages today, and will do more after work. Was supposed (by me) to write a lot of pages yesterday, but after eight (mmm) I was stuck in front of the TV, watching two Walking with Dinosaurs:D. I like dinosaurs. Hehe, Diplodocus laying eggs, that's a sight:P.

What's that smell? Something from my colleage's shower probably, but it smells like a guy's deo. Ah, well.

I'm in process to plan a story about love. Maybe you would llike it for once, Malin - there's no magic! But gritty realism. Likes gritty realism, even in a fantasy story. It has its charm:P

Well, have to eat. See you in a near future!

Sara

PS Anna, SEND ME A MAIL!

At least I know which category...

Hello, sorry for the long delay, haven't had any access to internet in a couple of days.

Anna, if you want me to pay (and I will, promise) send me an email with details about account and such. And details about your times, so I can send that to uncle.

Yes, I'm going to STHLM, at the end of May. Yay. With my sister. Double-yay.:P Actually.

Been the girl's birthday, so we've been eating cakes and been at town. We were in shops and ate at McDonald's. I ate a Chicken sandwich. She got a lot of presents, I gave her a book, named I believe in Unicorns. Hehe read it and it was quite good, but it wasn't quite about unicorns.

Got something in my throat again... well, I hope it doesn't get worse.

Saw a program today about underground cities and it sparkled my imagination. The Fog story is a bit of a stand still at the moment, even though I hope I will finish it soon, so maybe I should concentrate a bit on the mythology and history (and geology) on my big story, for once.

Well, hope everyone's fine. Hugs,

Sara
