It's soon February, people!

Weather in England: sunny. I can barely read the screen, so it's not only a good thing. And I'm too stubborn to move, and I think this is the best place: the one end of the dinner table. Well, change that. But I'm sitting where I'm sitting.

I'm tired as hell, and I don't like my mobile. I'm using it as an alarm clock, so... I haven't had a proper nights sleep for weeks, so I ditch Oxford (an half-planned trip) for sleep this weekend.

Another word Malin doesn't know:P Seriously.

Ok, so I moved. The place at the table wasn't so good. This one is better.

It hasn't happened much these days. The kids were home yesterday because they were ill, and it was my full day of work as the other au pair was off. An relaxing day for them. We saw two films, one Winnie-the-Pooh and then Mulan. Mulan rocks:D. The girl said she wanted to be like Mulan. Yay for that.

My hands aren't quite as dry as they were a couple of weeks ago, and my eyes are almost well. The left eye still has a big red spot, but that's all.

Haven't written much the last few days. Begun a story named The Fog, but have no idea where it will go. And the geography is boring, and I have trouble with scales. Ah, well, wish me luck.

Hugs to the few people reading my blog, have a good day:D

My back

...is aching. I need more exercise, I think. I'm tired as hell. Don't mind my incoherent ramblings. As I said, I'm tired as hell, and my back is aching. So. Back to point one.

And for you who doesn't know what an ent is, Malin, it's a being that looks like a tree, that Tolkien has created. That's that question answered.

Ate haggis Sunday, Monday. It's a traditional Scottish dish. It looked a bit scary and boring but tasted alright. British food is actually quite boring, even Swedish food are more exciting. Maybe because we borrow so much from other countries.

Bought The Independent yesterday, and found a news article for college tomorrow. I choose a story about conserving native British wildlife versus letting other species invade and breed. Quite interesting. The news paper has a sudoku too. It was ages I did a sudoku.

Tomorrow I will go to college and then to town. After that I will be working, but not for so long. No babysitting tomorrow, for once.

See you!

Returned

My eyes are definitely better, but I still looks a bit like Voldemort. And my throat are aching in another, worse, way, which is frustrating. Why haven't I gotten well yet? >:(

But I've been quite good today, and written a bit on the geography of my big story. And I've came up up with a few other countries, so I have a things to do now. And I've a first draw of the map, which I think I'll keep. At least it have a scale. Scale is important. I don't want to get lost.

The day have been a quiet one, the rest of the house have been in the town. I was supposed to write after I'd been out walking, but I slept on the sofa instead. Hmm, I'm tired. Ate sushi today, not homemade but from a supermarket. Ah, well, that too can be eaten. And they have bought grapes. Grapes and cashew nuts are in danger when I'm around. We'll see how long the grapes lasts. Haven't eaten cashew nuts in weeks now. Will probably die by abstinence. I'm joking.

Have to look for a news for college. My teacher said I could choose a Swedish one. Haven't heard any Swedish news in weeks.

Will go now, have a good night!

Sara

I'm not alone anymore

No, I haven't betrayed Bobby and gotten myself a boyfriend. Instead I've got a new working partner, since the last au pair got fired (more or less). The new one come today, and she seems nice.

My cold are getting better, I have no running nose and my throat are bearable. My eyes are still red, but the drops works and I don't wake up with stuck eyes in the mornings. But now my back is aching for lack of exercise. Not fun.

Working week is over, now I can sleeeeeeeep, which is exactly what I'm doing to do tomorrow. Maybe I will write on my geography and take a walk. My head is actually not dizzy anymore.

So, I'm better. Next week I'll be back to business and have some pages written and roads walked, and of course au pair work to do too. See you then.

Sara

Missed me?

When I signed  in on MSN, I saw that I had twelve e-mails - most of them from Netwic. The strange thing, I've been blocked out from Netwic a few days ago, because I did not sign in often enough, and now I'm receiveing more e-mails than ever! Strange.

My cold is better, but now I've startet to cough, and my eyes are definitely not better - worse describes them better. They have red spots - bloodred spots. I look like Voldemort. I promise, I haven't made any horcruxes. So that's why I haven't been in here for some days, I don't want to overexert my eyes. But I've got drops for them now.

Haven't written anything on my story, just worked, been at college and tried to sleep. College is fine, we're starting a new topic next week, and that's always interesting.

Will go to sleep now probably, see you all!

Sara

I can at least breath through the nose now

But I've got an eye infection, so my right eye is red. And my throat is still aching. To make things short, my day haven't been the most wonderful. But at least I feel a bit better.

College tomorrow, hopefully I can give my book speach without destroying my throat. Hopefully I don't kill myself with the work either. And sleep well tonight. Which I doubt I will, seeing my nose is all runny.

But the food was nice yesterday, and the presents were good, too. I got a book, a necklace, a breakfast set and bathing things. The cake was tasty too.

My eye are all blurry and it hurts, so I have to finish now. Wish me luck tomorrow.

Sara

I hate my nose

And not just because it is big and looks like a potato. It is stuffed and rinning ad kept me awake the whole night, so I'm tired as hell now. And my ears are strange and my throat feels like it have been sandpapered. It sucks to be ill:(

But...

It's my twentieth birthday! It has been a quiet day, the kids have been away on some play thing with their parents. Me and the girlfriend have had a quiet lunch of baked potatoes and I haven't done anything today, except computing and watching TV. Saw a Swan Princess film I haven't seen. We're going to an Indian restaurant soon, and I have to wash me off. I'm sweating like a pig because of that f*cking cold. (Why is it called cold? I'm definitely NOT cold)

Well, see you another day. Take care

Sara

How unhealthy is this house, anyway?

This entry have to be short, because I'm ill and freezing and can't think. Yes, folks,I'm ill again. Haven't been this ill since I was six years old. Fever and cold sucks, and my back is aching of all shivering. Hopefully, I will be better tomorrow.

Tomorrow is my twentieth birthday! And I still haven't bought a memory card. Well, if I feel well tomorrow afternone I'll buy one then, otherwise I'll just put the cards here or delete them or anything (those I have on the camera).

Oh, yeah, I have made a world map for my story. Just have to do a map on the continent and the different countries.

Well, good bye, see you!

Sara

Update!

Haven't been on internet for a couple of days now, so that's my explanation. College have been fine, my teacher likes my performance in class, and I at least talk with the other students. Book review is on Monday morning - at least I will be early.

I have finished writing my religion for my big story! Started on the extended geography today, and are about to draw a map. The continent needs more countries.

Today have been quite a chill time, the mother are here this evening, and she made supper. Don't like to make supper myself, and hers was a nice change from the usual pasta and cheese.

In three days, I'm twenty! Apparently, we're going to a restaurant. Will be nice. And I still need to buy a memory card. Want pictures, so i have to do that tomorrow or on Friday. Well, my geographical knowledge isn't so good, so I suppose I can quit writing an afternoon.

Have to finish writing, are tired as hell and need to go to bed.

See you!

Sara

Unsunny Sunday

The au pair I used to work with said that English weather is best described as changeable; it can change within hours. It was sunny just before lunch. After lunch, the sky was cloudy and the wind blown. I was asked to make gravy to the lunch, by the way. Can make gravy from scratch:

My recipe for gravy
Some tasty oil, walnut or sesame that is, poured into a sausepan, alternatively using the oil to cook a handfull of mushrooms, or as many you want

Some dl water into the sausepan (ATTENTION! Be very careful when you pour water into hot oil)

Two-three tablespoonfulls of flour, mixed with water. Whip that smooth and pour it into the pan.

Pour some milk into the pan - takes away the taste of the flour.

Let it simmer. Hopefully the gravy will thicken by now.

Add salt, black pepper, soya (for colour) and other spices you like. I prefer ginger, myself. Taste if you like it, add more if needed. The gravy should be ready now.

Was at the mother's place this weekend. She lives in a beautiful, quite posh town, in a two-room-and-a-small-kitchen flat. A total of five people slept there, sharing two room. I slept in the same bed as the mother and the girl. The girl snored:P The mother and I did not. We ate breakfast on the bedroom floor this morning, like a pic-nic: toasted baguettes and porridge. As a matter of fact, I like English pooridge. It's easier to eat than Swedish.

Tomorrow is it college. Made a review of Storm Front, and skimmed throught the book. Hm, I wonder if WH Smith have the other Dresden Files books... Don't want to go to Heathrow and buy them there:P would look a bit stupid. And I haven't found any Dresden books at Waterstone's.

And I still have to pay the college bill (will do it tomorrow morning) and buy a memory card (will do that when I know my timetable) and toothpaste ( will do that after college). See you soon!

Tired as Hell

I know, I know.

Wrote three handwritten pages on my big story today, yay me. Hopefully I will finish this section this week

Haven't happened much, the kids have been quite well-behaved (which means we haven't been late for school yet), I haven't read the required book for college, payed the bill, been to town or bought a memory card or anything. Will pay the bill on Monday before classes, don't feel to go to town this week, and then I will buy a memory card too. And for the book... well, as I don't think my teacher will accept a reference book, I'll see what I choose. Maybe there are something in the house.

Today, I'm very tired of some reason. Fortunately, it's two days to the weekend and my days of. Sleep!

There are no snow left:(. Positive degrees all days, hope it will get colder. My birthday is soon!

Well, back to business. Will chat with my sister a bit, then we'll see if I can write something. I'm Tired as Hell!!!

Sara

Tuesday evening (hehe)

School has begun for the kids, with some changes. The morning went very smooth, no quarrels, and the boy was unusual quick. We had a snow fight when we waited for the bell.

And the snow is still here! -10 where I live:). It was a very beautiful day, sunny, and I had to take a long walk. And after that, I wrote on my big story. Got inspiration for my mythology, quite great.

Then I begun to work, first fetching the kids, and then some cleaning. One horrible accident did happen: I broke a plate when I was washing up. Quite embarassing, I just - fuck! No hard words anyway, luckily.

Sittning in front of the TV, with the girlfriend, she is zapping and I writing and chatting on the laptop. May go back writing on my big story soon, then to bed. Early morning tomorrow!

Good night, after an overall good day. One of those days when you just can't be unhappy:D

Sara

Monday evening

Reusing headlines again. Heck, it is Monday evening.

Made baked potatoes today, for supper:D first time and they were ok. Made some tuna-thingy too.

Have to read a book until next Monday, for college. I don't want to admit that I only have read Beedle the Bard and fairy tales. Meh. Maybe I'll reread Storm Front, just for the sake of it. Is hard-boiled, urban fantasy better than fictional fairy tales? Or I go to town and buy 1984, I want to read that book. Need to go town anyway, to pay my college bill, and buy a memory card for my camera.

And it snowed today! A few centimeters, but it's still left. I'm hoping for snow in my birthday. There was no snow on Christmas, so I hope the weather gods isn't all that unmerciful.

Meh, working early tomorrow, so I have to finish.

So long

Sara

Hi

A late piece of updating, but I haven't done much these days. I wrote some of the religion bit in my big story and I will try to finish it today, if I have the inspiration. Yesterday I sat and planned out a battle, dunno about my tactics, if they were good or not:P

The kids was with their mother the whole weekend, and the weekend were off for me, so it has been quite quiet. Have to go to town next week, paying the college bill, buying a memory card and a calendar for 2009.

Will try to update tomorrow, if I have anything to write.

New Year

Well, I actually stayed up until twelve yesterday, but went to bed some minutes after. Didn't do much, read some old stories and begun writing a new  one, A Piece of Treasure - the boy was responsible for that one, when I old him that treasure could mean different things. May publish the story here.

2008 has been quite a turbulent year. In January and on, I tried to finish various school projects in time, and also had occasionally run-ins with my ex-boyfriend, who tried to get me back when I resisted. We stopped meetig each other for good at my graduation day, haven't heard from him since. Good riddance.

Yes, I graduated from the Gymnasium, with good results. The most shocking one was in Society Knowledge - I expected a G, hoped for a VG, but got MVG! I nearly fainted, had never been so pleasantly surprised in my whole life:). The graduation day was good, too, I was too happy to let my ex spoil it, even if he nearly did. Men are idiots:P.

After graduation, I spent the summer searching for a job. Do you think I found one the whole summer? Nope. Got an introduction at the eldery care, but that was all. So the job centre let me in to a group, so we could get advise and coaching in how to get a job. However, I had got an idea, and searched wor work as an au pair. In the end of September, I came in contact with this family, and in the beginning of October, I came to England, the very first time I have been outside Scandinavia. Here have I been since. I begun an English course at college, and I have bought a new camera (my first) and I celebrated Christmas here.

I expect 2009 to be as turbulent: I sit on examination in July I think, and then I will get an own home and start university. I can hardly wait. Oh, and I turn twenty in sixteen days, have I mentioned that?

So, everyone, have a happy 2009, and good luck with everything you are going to do:D
